SMA inverters - HF Series
This is the new generation of galvanically isolated inverters - packed full of the latest SMA technology, the Sunny Boy HF series provides the highest yields for transformer inverters of this power class. Installation is now easier than ever thanks to the new DC connector system SUNCLIX, the plug-in generator grounding (optional), and an easily accessible configuration area - including easier mounting due to the reduced weight. The wide input voltage range from 175 to 700 volt gives you extraordinary flexibility for your system design. And the modern graphic display and wireless Bluetooth® communication system make the devices highly user-friendly.

SMA Inverter - Transformerless
With the transformerless inverter range, SMA is setting new standards. By means of a completely new Inverted topoligy, efficiency of over 98% is achieved for the first time, and optimized manufacuring processes result in what is currently the lowest specific price. This enables phenomenal energy yields with low investment costs and thus a very short payback time for the entire system. Furthermore, three distinct power classes provide maximum flexibility when designing larger photovoltaic systems.
The housing, suitable for use outdoors, enables installation in close proximity to the solar array, and thus simplifies the cabling on the DC side. The setup of smaller units also enables detailed monitoring of individual sections in large systems.

Thanks to its multi-string technology and the widest input voltage range, the three-phase inverter is suitable for every imaginable module configuration. In addition, it is highly flexible in terms of the plant design - from 8kW up to the megawatt range. The Sunny Tripower presently fulfills the BDEW guideline requirements (medium voltage guideline), and in so doing, it participates in reliable grid management.
A comprehensive security concept encompassing, among other things, string failure detection, electronic string fuses, and a surge protection function, providing the highest level of availability and reducing plant costs.

SMA Sunny Backup Systems
No light, no heating, no computer: today, it is very difficult to do anything without electricity. But how many solar power system operators really are aware that in the event of a power outage, the PV system is disconnected from the grid for reasons of safety? From that moment on, it ceases to provide solar power, neither for the grid feeding, nor for the internal power supply. And this is all the more irritating, as the experts agree: throughout Australia, lengthy blackouts and temporary power outages are likely to increase.
It is precisely this supply gap which we are closing with the Sunny Backup-System from SMA. As of now, this can be used by any PV system owner to power important loads in a reliable and environmentally friendly way, even in the event of grid failure.
The Sunny Backup-System is a mixture of on-grid operation and off-grid technology which guarantees you a very high degree of user reliability, as well as easy installation. Power outages can have financial consequences, unless you have extended the PV system with the Sunny Backup-System. All existing systems with Sunny Boy inverters can be retrofitted without problems.

SMA Sunny Island
Together with the battery unit, the stand-alone inverter Sunny Island creates a standard AC voltage grid into which all components, from electrical appliances to electricity generators, can be integrated. With AC coupling and the Sunny Island as its system manager, SMA has developed the technological solution for energy supply in remote areas, which are far away from the grid, or for emergency power supply in unstable grids.
